Description

The Jayashree HFSR (Harmonics Free Series Reactor) soft starters use a series impedance method, where specially designed air-cored reactors act as impedance in series with the motor winding, gradually applying voltage during motor startup. This reduces the starting current and torque compared to Direct On Line (DOL) starters, ensuring smooth acceleration and avoiding mechanical shocks.
